Listening to Subsonic on iTunes?

Post by karenj2 » Jun Mon 26, 2006 9:03 am

On the "Is Apple getting Disneyfied?" post in the "Anything goes" section, knedeau posted:
As a PC user myself (which I PREFER), I do have to admit (hands over your eyes all of you other PC users) that I LOVE my IPOD and ITunes as well. I actually listen to Subsonic on ITunes..... I know! They do music well!
I asked the same question on that thread, but it seems to have faded from interest, so I'll ask it here: How do you use iTunes to listen to Subsonic???

Hi Karen, I set Itunes as my default player. When I click on the "listen" link it automatically plays on ITUNES. I set it up so long ago that I forget how I did it! (GASP!)

Try this and let me know if it helped.. if not, we'll try again!

UPDATE! Open ITunes, Click EDIT, then PREFERENCES... under the Advanced Tab.. Check the box USE ITUNES AS DEFAULT MEDIA PLAYER!

This should work!
"Hey, Look at that guy in the Goofy Mask!" "That's not a mask!" "Oh... Sorry Lady!"

oh, ok - that makes sense... I thought it was something like choosing a radio station on iTunes. Thanks for the info!

I always use itunes. If you look at the library section, down the bottom with be a song that says subsonicradio. all you have to do is cick on it and you automatically get in to it. No hassles.

I set up a subsonic radio playlist that has links to all the streams so if one of the request streams is full I can listen to another. I also have the scheduled stream in there.
Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.

Same setup here. Works great.

I just love that when I use iTunes to listen to Subsonic it lists the title of the track. Although when I first started listening around here it didn't do that so I don't know what changed.
