The America Sings soundtrack came up today on the Future Land channel and I never knew there was a different version of "Who Shot the Hole in My Sombrero?" I have that show memorized, so it really threw me off to hear the song sung with a Mexican accent and different dialogue after the song. A quick Google search found this tidbit from Disney Wiki:
"Who Shot the Hole in My Sombrero?" was originally sung with a Mexican accent, but the press didn't like it and ordered a change for the accent. It was later made with a Texan accent. However, the Mexican accent version still exists on the 1974 LP recording of the attraction.
I have the LP but it's the Texan version. The version on Subsonic is labeled the "Disneyland 50th Retrospective" and it's the Mexican version.
I don't think I'll live long enough to no longer be surprised by Disney music trivia.

No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.
