feature request - only traccks i can request

just a thot 4 a future version:

it'd b cool if there was a checkbox that when checked would reduce the choices in the playlist & display only the tracks you could possibly request based on your number of points as well as eliminating those that tracks that cannot yet be re-requested.

i apologize if this has been requested b4. i didn't find it via a quick search.

in a way, that's already the case. the tracks show up red if they were recently requested. adding a checkbox to remove those is kinda a waste of time and effort (IMHO). Sub may like it and put it in, though, but with the tracks already showing they can;t be requested, I think that's enough...

i can understand that. just so you know, here's the situation that triggered this post. i had used all my points except 25. i wanted to request a track. so...i had to search thru the playlist page by page to find something to spend my 25 points on. not a huge deal. however, i thot it'd be cool if i could easily narrow the list to see only the tracks i can possibly choose.

like i said...i understand your point. i develop apps like this & understand what a pain these "convenience" requests can be. on the other hand, in my work, i like to get ideas from people to improve things as much as makes sense...that's why i thot i'd post it.

I think that is a great idea as well, but one must see it from sub's point of view. He has to come up with programs that determine how many points one has left, then that number has to be matched with all of the tracks that are equal to or less than that number, then the tracks that have already been played have to be eliminated in addition to the pending tracks that have been requested that haven't yet played, that is a lot of work.

I think the request system is brilliant -- with the color coding, I never have trouble picking out tracks I can play. If I just have a few points, I'll just hit the first available track and surprise myself.

Yes, this has been discussed before. And yes, it's in my plans for the upgrade.
