Actually, this is the first forum that I have ever posted to on a regular basis. I think its awesome to just talk to people who love listening to this audio, or are just plain obsessed with Disney. I only recently realized how obsessed I was. This is a nice fix until I get down there among people who like just as much.
This forum is a nice escape from all my friends and family that just don't get it.

It's cool to see that people feel the same way here on this site. Before i found this site, I thought I would never be able to find media on the beloved disney attractions that no longer exist. I was much relieved to find that it has all been preserved here and I love how people share their well wishes and ideas here as well as their love for the disney theme parks.

I like that the group isn't too big... sure, new blood (heh heh) is always a good thing, but it seems like when internet-based communities get too large, civility breaks down.
This feels like a little family I get to stop in on a couple times a day to chat with. Plus, we're all listening to the same stuff at the same time, which is pretty cool too.

Great Topic Knedeau! At first I just enjoyed listening to the music, and would read the forums, I was a little shy
but then started getting involved in the topics, and even going into the chat room (which is a whole nuther thang within itself
it's fun in there, y'all should try it). The forum's are a great place to share my Disney enthusiasm with like minded people. I have learned so much about the parks that I never knew, as well as Disney in general. Plus I think we have an awesome group on this site that I really enjoy interacting with. Sub did an great thing by taking his passion (SubSonic Radio) and making it accessible to all of us! I listen to this 95% of the time, now if only I could get it on my car radio
I would be all set!

I have to agree with ALL your posts, but I think Spaulo expressed my views the most. Because it's small, it's not overwhelming and a tighter knit group. I used to read Mouse Planet, but it's SO hard to keep up. I don't read the fast either, I think that has to do with it. Even these forums are becoming a little hard for me to read. When short on time, I skip they Disney section and mostly just read Station/Site.spaulo wrote:I like that the group isn't too big... sure, new blood (heh heh) is always a good thing, but it seems like when internet-based communities get too large, civility breaks down.

Of course, I also like the forums because it's fun to see what people want and are saying about SR.

Re: What do you like most about these forums?
I completely agree with reason #1. I've browsed several Disney sites, but this is the only one I've ever posted on. Other sites often seemed to degenerate into "flame wars," especially the non-moderated ones. People on this forum are very respectful, even if they disagree with you.knedeau wrote:Ok, I've posted a bunch of times... But this is the 1st topic I've started.

I also am impressed by the amount of information I get from this site. Everyone is so knowledgable and willing to share what they know; I've learned a lot about Disney I didn't know from reading these forums.

HA! Try keeping up with the DIS Boards. That place is crazy... my mom is super-active on there, but just on the "Community Board" (like non-Disney, off-topic convos)... I stop in there usually a few months before a big trip (esp. to WDW) to look around, but it's so insanely huge I don't feel like a part of it.subsonic wrote:I used to read Mouse Planet, but it's SO hard to keep up. Here, on the other hand, everyone is made to feel welcome... at least, we try... if anyone feels like we aren't making them feel welcome, please let someone know!

Well, unlike the others, this is probably the 7th disney forum I am a member on.
I like this message board because it looks a lot like the site and because you can gain points by posting here.

Yea I agree with Spaulo
It is a tight knit group we have here. It is nice to be able to hold a conversation here about a certain topic and you'll be talking to the same person. I still visit Mousepad every so often to get the latest news from the park but i mostly stay around here for everything else. (I haven't been around much due to school, but i'll be around more and more as summer approaches) 8)
