You know what would be outstanding??? A Corona with a lime and a nice long massage !! while listening to Subsonic of-course!!
YES YES YES SIGN ME UP! Except I'll take a Hot Tub soak in place of that massage.....
Maybe it will brighten this dreary rainy Boston weather.

Take a hot tub soak after the massage and you will be out like a light!

AND I"M OFF TOMORROW!!!!! Such a Bonus. Working at a College certainly has its perks. I think my son and I will head to the beach with a kite and "sangwich's" for lunch.

hey, my one suggestion is not to request an entire block. Its one thing to request one or two at a time...but I like to request then wait a bit, and request some more...in case I have ot leave, or other people want to hear something. Be fair to others and you'll enjoy it more too.

Good strategy delaying your requests. Spreads it out more. I'll try it.
I dont know about the fair thing though. Everyone gets points and how you spend them is your choice. There is nothing wrong with putting $5 in a jukebox and queuing up 5 songs (or however may $5 gets you nowadays

) Same deal on Subsonic if you ask me.

I am one that will queue my favs all in a row because some days I have a set time that I can really listen here at work. I have it on all day but that doesn't mean I can actually hear it cause I am running in and out of the office, so I queue mine up listen and then go about my business. I "try" not to do more than 5-6 in a row. With limited staff in the office this week I have been able to spread my requests out more. I am sure the bigger this station gets that Sub will have to come up with something that limits the number of requests we can do at one time. I know when I am sitting here and see a bunch in queue that I really am not interested in hearing I wonder if that is what people think about when I queue mine up

so I try to be considerate. Key word being try

Don't stop requesting all those songs bostoncq! I know this is totally off topic, but I've been looking for a place to tell you thanks for all your early morning requests. You have excellent taste (Mary Poppins and Frontierland!) and that is one of my study times so the music without words always makes me happy. Even if you have to miss them sometimes, at least I usually catch them.

Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

Yippie someone who likes what I request

that is always nice to know, and I will keep playing them cause they happen to be my favs and since I am working it's is easy for me to concentrate on my early morning tasks and the music. Thanks for letting me know you like the requests, now study hard!!!

It's a good idea, as I've messed up a request before, but I like the "jukebox" analogy. The more complicated the system the tougher it will become to use.

I think the idea ia good but it may make things more complicated. Let's say a person requests their songs anticipating the hour wait that is listed on the Now Playing screen and goes away from their comp to do whatever and come back an hour later only to find that the people queued before their own request cancelled theirs thus pushing this person's requests up by a half an hour and they've missed most if not all of their requests. That'd be a bummer. Also, I'd sort of be afraid of people becoming to controlling on the playlist - someone may intentionally block a song by requesting, unrequesting, requesting, unrequesting etc. for whatever reason and in general could really screw up the order of the playlist for everyone else.
I think it'd just be better to check "Now Playing" before making requests. I mean there's always the possibility something will pop up no matter how you plan your request, but that shouldn't be reason enough to really give too much control over making such influential changes to the playlist.

Great points. I was thinking "how hard is it to understand a little <delete> button next to your requests", but I agree with all of your points. The playlist should be static. Thats my official opinion - I wont change it again. Unless I change my mind of course.

The system works good for me, i try to request the track when i know i will be able to hear it, i know that doesn't work for everyone though. it can be tricky to request tracks and get called out of the office Bummer
