Nostalgia

I like this music and audio because it relaxes me, and takes me to back to a simpler time. I enjoy the theater of the mind and It makes my workday seem to melt away.

There is very little I can tell you because you are so good.
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

It reminds me of happy times back in the 80's when I first went to Disneyword with my oldest son..

I love listening Parks' music because I dream whith my eyes open !
It's better than videos I can imagine the magic and re-live the magic of Disney's parks.
It's simply magic to can be enchanted by music, wrong ?

escape

Post by kapper1965 » Oct Fri 28, 2005 1:05 pm

i use the music to escape reality. with the everyday stresses that we all encounter, disney has always been the place to get away from it all. it's funny. no matter how many times i have been there i can never get sick of listening to the audio clips. thanks for streaming the audio. it's my new radio of choice!

You're right !
To "escape reality" is the expression exact ...
Me too, it's my new radio (a good concept)

Most everyone here has hit the common themes, but the primary reason is with these Disney songs in my day, my dull gray cube doesn't seem so gray any longer. The total escape from the outside world you feel when you walk thru the gates of those parks ... it's right here, and those months between WDW trips go alot faster also!

Great site 8)

One thing I've wondered about you at-work listeners (especially since I work at home doing web design), do you all have headphones or let your co-workers "share the magic?" ...or do they see things differently??
No, no... He's got a point.

I like reliving the pre-Eisner nostalgia...when being optimistic about the future wasn't deemed unhip (or at least unprofitable). The cynical nature of most of the new attractions eventually drove me from the parks. I haven't been back in years, but listening to the old monorail spiels and park background music certainly reminds me of good times.

In 1974 my family and I first visited Walt Disney World Florida and I simply feel in love with the place. I remember walking under the train station closest to City Hall now I can't tell you what song was playing but listening to Subsonic takes me back to 1974. Now I know the theme is the same with most of you but I now have a son who is also in love with the place and loves the music. We love the ability to request songs in this site and do at times. What do you expect I am the guy who likes the smell of diesel it reminds me of the trams and buses at the parks as well. Ya'll have a Great Day to day and enjoy this music. :D

Hard to tell ! Well, as a matter of fact, not really... :) Music has a power. The power to bring memories alive in your mind and make your body feel good. I mean anyone can remember the music that was on when you first danced with your sweetheart. You also remember the tunes you listened to when you were younger, when you were a careless teenager... And at a certain time of your life, you want to go back to those years and music is a wonderful way to do it. It refreshes your mind and it miraculously brings you right back at those times. It's the same thing with Disney parks audio... Disney brings you the time of your life and a sugary taste of childhood. :P Music keeps the experience lingering on. You just close your eyes and you're right back there!
Besides, those tunes are pretty hard to get and to find, which make them even more attractivel but this is another story...

I listen to it practically all the time because i'm at Uni, and listenening to Zip-a-Dee-Do-Dah is one great way of taking your mind off all the horrid chemistry questions that I know I have no hope in being to answer. Also students are always poor, consequently I can only get to disney around once a year at the moment which is not often enough. If you hear the music enough you can relive it and pretend you are there! :P

I have so many memories with these sounds and listening to them at home just makes me relive those moments.
I'm a loud long lean loquacious and sometimes laphonic lunatic who loves to deal delve and dable in delirious dialogue and dynamic disertations.
