newsletter
For a little while now, I've been kicking around the idea of making up a newsletter to send out to Subsonic Radio forum members. it would include things like news from the Disney front (new happenings at the parks, new DVDs/CDs/other media, room rates, etc), welcoming new members, encouragement to use the forums and post, FAQ, etc. It'd probably turn into a once a month, or even bi-monthly newsletter.
What do people think of this idea? If it does go forward, would anyone like to contribute every so often? I'd like responses back ASAP, as this is something I'd like to put together so the first issue can go out on/around January 1.
If you'd rather not post your thoughts here, please send me either a PM, IM or Email.

a little, but the newsletter would be more in depth. We'd do research, maybe call the company for more info, things like that.
Also, we'd be able to announce new happenings on the site before they're actually done (expected completion dates and stuff), compile info on possible meet-ups at the parks or area get-togethers and things. We could do so much with it...

maybe it would be good to have a quarterly newsletter to start with. and if possible i wouldn't only include the companies announcements and news in the newsletter but also some report or feature. surely many of the forum members visit the parks more or less often. if there is some new attraction they could write a report on it, describe it to the others and share their thoughts about it. a little bit like film critics for new movies running at theaters. so the other forum members would know where to go, when they're at a park. a newsletter archive where such reports are stored would be a good idea as well. maybe you can create a newsletter team consisting of some general editors and some free/on demand reporters.

I warn you not to depend on the rest of us to help because inevitably, it'll rest on you. Newsletters can be a great tool for a website but it does require a bit of work.
