A 25 Hour Trip to WDW

When the Star Wars Dark Side Half-Marathon registration re-opened a few weeks ago, I signed up. The only way I'm getting away with going (we're having our second baby next week, exactly a month before the race) is that I'm flying down the 16th, running the morning of the 17th, then flying back that ...

Re: Inaugural WDW Star Wars 1/2 Marathon

Contrary to my post above, I signed up for the half when they re-opened registration a few weeks ago. I'm really interested in the course for this one - I've read that it starts at Epcot but ends at ESPN. Maybe a reverse Wine & Dine course, but I can't imagine they'd have us running on the path ...

Re: New background loop at Downtown Disney/Disney Springs

Some kind soul recorded the full loop and put it on YouTube. I'm really interested thoughts from the forum. I like it - perfect background sound without being too elevator'y:

Re: What do you like collecting when at the parks?

EDIT: Here is a great article about them. Definitely more information than I ever knew about the collector cards! Didn't know about the monorail having cards ~ will definitely have to seek those out next time as that is my favorite WDW transportation :D http://www.wdwinfo.com/walt-disney-world/for-...

Re: Remember..Never Forget..What do you do after a Disney tr

Absolutely: we also listen to music and go through the photos. Sometimes I'll also keep a blind vinylmation figure in its package for us to open before bed once we get home, for an extra little bit of magic and mystery to look forward to!

Thanks for the heads up - I'll take a look!

You mean a *ringer* style shirt? I've got the blue version of what (I think!) you're talking about. Lighter blue in the shirt body, navy blue at the sleeves and neck?

Re: What do you like collecting when at the parks?

I do a little Star Wars pin and vinylmation collecting! During our trip last month, anything with BB-8 was a must. My Kingdom for a simple, comfy Donald shirt with just a picture of the Duck, and no mention of angry birds, anger management or wearing pants...

I'm VERY jealous! I'm doing the Rebel Challenge in January, but we're expecting a baby two weeks before the Florida version. I'm (hopefully) there in 2017, though!

New background loop at Downtown Disney/Disney Springs

Just back from a great five-night trip, and I wanted to see if anyone has been able to get their mitts on the new background loop from the Marketplace section of Downtown Disney/Disney Springs. If you haven't been down there yet, it's great! Very cool, soft, ambient electronic versions of Disney son...

Re: 2015 is last year for Osborne Lights

Like just about everything at Disney, I'm bummed to see this go but excited for whatever is next. My strong suspicion is that once the transformation of the 'Studios to Disney's Hollywoodland Adventuretime Studiosburgh Parktown is complete, there will be a strong holiday presence akin to the Osborne...

Re: DHS Park Changes and Transformation

But having content geared towards younger age groups is futile, you literally will have two groups of non-children using those attractions, bored people forced to go on and people that are required to notify their neighbors when they move in. No, you really can't have an attraction that is "fu...
