Re: A site for pointing out Disney's bad show
I used to love all the odds and ends in the Communicore. I still have plastic robots we built there (with a couple of extra legs) and the clear windows that can switch on/off to become opaque - wow. And I went to Segway training in one of the event/conference rooms in that building, too. Now, if the...

Re: So you want to build a Disney castle?
I love the conference table picture, towards the end. Reminded me of meetings I've been to! But not Disney meetings, alas.

Re: Why do you like listening to Theme Park Audio?
It's probably been said, but listening at work is a nice bit of escapism. And with limited time off, and limited funds, this is a great way to help "feel" the magic without traveling.

Re: Trip Planning after Shanghai opens
Quick Update (no, no Powerball yet...darn)
Looks like if you own 500 shares of Disney Paris you get access to a special lounge and entrance. Does anyone know if that also includes early entry?
Along the same lines, is there any early entry for Paris, Hong Kong or Tokyo?
Thanks!

Re: Losing My Pixie Dust Desire
My suggestion to everyone is to find different things to do at Walt Disney World! I'm heading to WDW tomorrow for a week, and we've got a Wild Africa Trek planned for Monday morning. I've heard great things and can't wait to experience it for myself! Did that for my 50th birthday! really cool! Go g...

Re: Losing My Pixie Dust Desire
Jumping late on this conversation, but, yes, it has been Death by a Thousand Cuts. When you stop and look back, it has gradually changed. While there is still "Magic" I am not sure it is "the" Magic. The true spontaneity of the parks is gone (if ever there - remember Touring Plan...

Yeah, that sounds like a good business plan.

... movies aren't made the same way as 20 years ago. I was talking about Backlot closing with a friend today. He said they should just update it instead... Everybody walks into a bright green room, and a guy with a computer adds in the tram, the canyon, the tanker, the flash flood and the fire in p...

Re: Hotel choices in France, Japan, Hong Kong?
Thanks, folks. Good ideas and advice. Money will be an issue, to some degree. We will economize when and where we can (eating peanut butter and oatmeal the next three years, for instance) but will maximize the hotel stays, depending upon what they offer (special entrances, views, pools, concierge le...

Re: Hotel choices in France, Japan, Hong Kong?
Are you asking about on property, in city, or something in between? With DLRP, one nice part is that the trains to the city are on property. You could stay at the Disneyland Hotel for DLRP, it's nice. I actually stayed at the Sequoia and my room was on the top floor with a balcony view of the area....

Hotel choices in France, Japan, Hong Kong?
As per a previous thread, we're working on a future trip to all the international locations.
Does anyone have any experiences, recommendations, thoughts, about any of the specific lodging choices in Hong Kong Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, or the Tokyo Disney Resort?
Thanks!
