Re: I have only ......... days/months till I go again.

Very small chance we may be able to get down to the World this December. It would be our kids' first trip there (DS is 4 and DD will be 2) so the timing would be perfect. I hope it works out! I *just* booked airfare for our December trip - Dec. 1-6 (already got a countdown in my signature...). Our ...

Re: Inaugural WDW Star Wars 1/2 Marathon

I considered it once I saw the Kessel Run medal. Dang, I want one of those. :) It is tied with the 20th Anniversary Marathon Medal for the coolest I've earned. I wrote a guest blog recap of the West Coast vs. East Coast Star Wars halves that I *think* will be posted on runningatdisney.com tomorrow....

Re: Inaugural WDW Star Wars 1/2 Marathon

I was in corral C, so a bunch of the corrals were still being sent off as we were running through Epcot. I paused to get a picture of Spaceship Earth from Japan, and just as I did, fireworks for one of the corral starts were going off behind the giant golf ball. It was pretty awesome. I was in C to...

Re: Inaugural WDW Star Wars 1/2 Marathon

I saw LOADS of Matt the Radar Techs! I still give it credit - it was such a good idea that everyone had it. My costume worked well from a performance standpoint, and got a lot of love from the cast members and volunteers. Even got a shout out from Carissa as I finished - that's a first for me! Cours...

Re: Port Orleans.

I'm staying at Riverside for the first time this weekend - it was one of the only things available when I booked late for the Star Wars race. Really looking forward to it - any can't-misses at the resort??

Re: TOT to get bar

There's already a kind-of, secret bar near the exit of Tower of Terror: the pastry cart just past the exit is aces for a boozy coffee first thing in the morning at DHS. I love a drink while on vacation, so it's a must-stop for me. I can't wait for this bar - even if it has a temporary, quick-drink-s...

Goodness, no. My contribution toward the costume was (a) thinking of it, (b) buying the fabric, (c) giving it to a friend who knows what they're doing.

Re: Inaugural WDW Star Wars 1/2 Marathon

I am in the same boat, zhoover, I have no time submitted so I will be in L. L for last Somehow - and I honestly don't understand it because I submitted my time weeks after the deadline - I wound up in C. Not going to complain. Now my challenge will be making it to packet pick-up on Saturday before ...

Re: Inaugural WDW Star Wars 1/2 Marathon

Wait, do it, threaten to use it, and then tell the CM you're just kidding. Mostly. Ha! I guess my strategy will depend on my corral. I signed up when they briefly reopened registration in February, which was past the deadline for submitting a time. Accordingly, I may be in the last corral, an...

Did you see the course yet? Third mile of the half along the boardwalk path is going to be interesting crowd-wise!

Seriously, anything with Figment on it, including pins. I figure I have about 100 Figment pins.
The new March Magic logo shirt with Figment on it is pretty cool-looking! I love the designs they come up with each year.

Re: Inaugural WDW Star Wars 1/2 Marathon

Yes, I saw that it ends at ESPN--its killing me not knowing the course. I agree--there's no way it can be a reverse W&D. Just spent my lunch break looking at Google Maps - if we go through Epcot, then do part of the loop around the Boardwalk, I suppose they could drop us onto Epcot Resorts Blvd...

Maybe we could plan for lunch and a drink at Jock's after the race, unless you've already got other plans! Jock's is very cool - I stopped in a couple of times during our November trip.
