Right. Because when a new "feature" has unintended consequences, the best way to solve the new issue is to keep heading in the same direction.

You can use any audio player that can handle .pls files to listen to SSR. On any OS, my player of choice is VideoLAN Client, aka VLC. Download VLC for Linux (in ubuntu, from the command line, you can do: sudo apt-get install vlc assuming you have the Universe repository available in your Synaptic Pa...

Funny that I just saw this thread... Right now I'm a Technical Producer (a.k.a. "web developer") at CNET Networks, in their Games, Entertainment, and Lifestyle division, working on CHOW.com and UrbanBaby.com... BUT... I put in my two weeks' notice yesterday. Starting May 27th, I will be em...

I don't think this can possibly be overstated. Disney has some of the best lighting designers anywhere working with them. No one can do outdoor/architectural illumination like Disney can.

The last time I was there was in 2001 (I think) and only for the day. You will be happy to find... I assure you of this... that the atmosphere has improved by orders of magnitude since 2001. The real bottoming-out of the park happened, imho, from 1995-ish until about 2003 or 2004. Since then it has...

There's a joke, that wasn't supposed to be made but got recorded on a live Monorail track we have here. The automated recording says something like "and now your Monorail driver has a few things to say" then the driver gets on the microphone and says, "and now, a moment of silence&qu...

Re: Disneyland ....glory days gone bye bye??

Do you think that the park has lost it's luster of the yesteryears? No. No, no, no, no, no . Look, I am never the first one to defend ALL the changes that have greeted Disneyland in the last thirty years. But, I was born in 1979, so I didn't know the first 25+ years of Disneyland, only the more rec...

Heh, we tried going there once. My wife and I got our beeper, waited patiently, and when the thing went off we went up to the desk. They asked us to wait to the side, presumably while they got the other party we would be seated with. Five minutes later I asked if they'd forgotten us, which indeed th...

At first I was scared that something else had happened there, but I just realized it's been one year since the tragedy. I will always remember the VT community as inspirational in the way they came together afterwards.

I thought we'd be screwed this year because I had nearly five figures' worth of "side income" that I hadn't paid any taxes on at all in 2007, so I expected a big bill. Luckily, my wife qualified for a "lifelong learning credit" because she's still in school and 29 years old (that...

Another vote for the "Far-Out Chicken Fusili" (I think that's the name) at Redd Rocket's. Huge portion of tasty chicken alfredo pasta. Enough for two adults (honestly).

how do we break it up reliably without sacrificing quality? While I'm not volunteering to do so, using open source audio editing software Audacity, you can read, edit, and write MP3s while controlling bitrate and other quality settings. No quality loss occurs simply from the act of editing the digi...

Don't know if i answered this thread already, but the last time I went was last May, on my honeymoon, and it sucked. We discovered my wife's gall bladder issues after a particularly rich steak meal at Catal (not their fault) and she was sick the whole time. We're going back April 25, 26, 27. Without...

I was under the impression that the Xmas stuff started going up after the Halloween "parties" and such. Do they really wait until after Thanksgiving?

We always go the first or second week of December. Everything's up, but park attendance is down and rates are good.
