Weird or good? It is so heavily dated in terms of content and presentation method that you cannot realistically do incremental upgrades anymore.

For now at least, considering the licensing of Twilight Zone is a waste of money and the park seems to be slated for an overall theme change, I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility. Thrown in that the update here at DCA is actually really well done.

Since it doesn't appear to be up and summer has begun, I suspect they may have sent it back for retooling due to a decent amount of negative feedback. At the same time, as the plan was to only have it work the day of, just give the parks a call to see if it will be up soon.

It has space but not enough (check it on Google Earth) to do what would be acceptable for a modern area/land. As it requires major sponsorship to get done, it would be difficult for a country to get interested in spending a fortune for a C-level space.

Part of why it looks tired is that there is such dated architecture in the area. There might be a little bit of space for one area for a new country in WS but they are so packed in there it isn't viable to add anyone in, even if they felt like setting a pile of money on fire to promote their country.

Watch videos of the space, it isn't great. The design is well done but one ride is pretty good and the other is a "meh" at best.

Speaking of, I am getting more and more of a feeling that the response to Pandora is going to be lukewarm. The hype train still isn't really moving and it opens in a month. Throw in they are offering resort discounts (granted, they could jack prices up 200% and knock things down "up to 25%"...

The reason the Dragon/Beastly kingdom got yanked was because the NDAs they had on the Imagineering staff (mostly contract) didn't go far enough to stop Universal from buying up the same concepts.

Don't forget, unless things have changed, they also won't have all the attractions open at launch. There are only two rides, so you would be getting half the experience for the full price.
