Re: Seasonal Availability of Holiday Music

I'm ready to listen to a little Christmas, and now there's a holiday channel, and I can't access it! Nothing happens when I click on it.

Re: Tomorrowland Refurb-Expansion?

The main problem is there hasn't been a hit Disney movie lately that can be turned into an attraction themed to Tomorrowland. Stitch was from outer space. A bit of a stretch, but enough to build an attraction around. I've visited it once. and that was enough. Hopefully the Fantasyland expansion will...

Re: Favorite Park Music

I used to really like the BGM at LIberty Square, but last time I was there they had changed it to mostly of John Philips Sousa pieces, which are more upbeat, but totally and completely anachronistic. I might write a letter! And the Lib Square bgm on subsonic is nothing I had ever heard before in tha...

Re: Anyone know why DW removed the skyride?

another reason the ride was not continued: Cast Member injuries. The attendants at the station had to grab the heavy cars and swing them around manually to load and unload. A lot of expensive workers comp back injuries. (I had a friend who worked this attraction)

Re: WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!!!

definitely tell the kids. Anticipation is the best part of the trip! Although, we did "spring" it on our kids one morning on the way to school (we lived 60 min from the park) Once we were all in the van, "open your lunch boxes and look inside" Inside was a note telling them that ...

Re: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party or Not??

The Candlelight Processional is truly not to be missed. It is one of the last LIVE orchestras left on property (probably THE last) and it is a beautiful presentation. Disney could run it every night of the year and it would be at capacity constantly. Our celebrity narrator when we are there this yea...

Re: Polynesian Rumor

It's much easier and cheaper (and safer from a guest perspective) to close an entire resort. no need to mask construction sites, no complaints of noise and debris, and no front desk calls "We planned this vacation for YEARS and there's a big crane blocking our view of the hibiscus bush!" S...

Re: Seasonal Availability of Holiday Music

Be like Scrooge and keep Christmas in your hearth all year long!! The Ghosts that visited Scrooge showed him how the life he had lived impacted others, how holding so tightly to material things brought him no satisfaction. But only in releasing his grip on his riches would he truly realize the joy t...

Re: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party or Not??

Save your 200.00. Yes, it's very festive, fun, beautiful and everything, but I don't think it's worth the extra bucks, unless u are a supreme disney fanatic, or really want to see the Christmas parade. Take in the Osbourne's light display or the best show on property, the Candlelight Processional. G...

Re: Happy Birthday Walt Disney World!!!

I began working there a few months before WDW turned 15! and THAT seemed like a long time ago back then.
Does anyone remember the parade that premiered that year?" "15 Years of Magic"
it's on youtube.

I seem to remember quite the hoodoo for DL's 50th.

Re: What's with all the Christmas Music?

I agree with Elizabeth, and have been wondering the same thing. I have to shut off the computer when someone has requested Christmas music. Not because I don't love it, because I do... IN DECEMBER. I wonder if people listening to Christmas music in the Summertime are still playing it on Dec 26, beca...

I enjoyed meeting EVINRUDE, and I will be really impressed if someone out there has a photo (and can name which film the character is from without Googling it!)
