Re: Why do you like listening to Theme Park Audio?

I listen to Howard Stern in the morning, and the Disney music when he isn't on. I find that the Disney music time is much less stressful, productive, and calming. I can't imagine two more opposite choices. Howard Stern and Disney tracks? Now that's someone with a wide range of tastes! :goofy_bounce:

Re: Walking along down Main Street USA

That's the genius of it, you fondly remember Amy, riding with the Dapper Dans. That's a "Magical Moment" that costs the company nothing, but gains them another extremely loyal and dedicated fan, and gives you an opportunity to tell a special story to your friends, inspiring them to want to...

Re: Christmas Day Parade

This might sound weird to a lot of folks, but it was always soul-crushing for me if Christmas was warm. And growing up in Florida, that was quite often. Even more so at WDW, when the parade costumes were heavy coats and scarves (and overlays for the costumed characters). I caught the telecast of the...

Re: Frozen Attraction to Replace Maelstrom (Confirmed)

no, you can't fault Disney for stocking what is selling. Same with Epcot, the general public wants to be spoon-fed easy to understand tidbits about a country they're only vaguely interested in. Frozen princesses or trolls, neither one really tells you much about Norway. (Still, I wouldn't know what ...

Re: Frozen Attraction to Replace Maelstrom (Confirmed)

I don't know about Frozen being outdated in a few years, (look at Snow White's Scary adventures) but agree that it will teach us nothing about Norway. Wonder if the country will still sponsor a travel site in the attraction. Disney will do what will make money, and right now princesses are moneymake...

I think people would enjoy Donald Duck's 50th Birthday parade intro. I have it but don't know how to upload anything. If anyone wants to PM me and explain how it works, feel free.

If they still had it, the Skyway between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. Cool breezes and swaying back and forth. Don't know if DL still has theirs...

maybe not my favorite, but the TTA is on the list-- only because it's so much fun to "step on the moving platform".

Re: Character Meet and Greets

If any of you missed a character, WDW has a Cast Member who will forward your letter to the requested character, and you'll receive an autograph (maybe even a signed photo) in the mail. He's been doing it for years. That's how I got my son an autograph of Captain Hook!

Re: Favorite interaction with a cast member?

A custodial cast member at Test Track found out we were from a small town in central Florida and he had family in the same town. He backdoored us via the VIP lounge onto the attraction.
Our three kids were elated. It cost the company nothing, and the kids talk about it today... years later.

Spend a responsible amount of money, but spend it and don't look back. The memories will remain long after the hit to your wallet. Trust me.

Re: Character Meet and Greets

AMY said: "I haven't actually met any of the princesses in quite some time. I remember being quite in awe of Snow White when I was 6 though ~ she was so pretty." That job is alot harder than it looks. Snow White as I recall, remembered the names of my sister's kids when we went back a yea...

Re: Maleficent LOOKS AWESOME!!!!!

In the original Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent's line is "all the powers of HELL!" but it's often been cleaned up to be "..all the powers of EVIL" when she says it in shows in the parks.

And I hope you share what you liked and what you think could be improved. The Disney Standard should be maintained.
