Well, I went with my girlfriend 2 years ago and she said her favorite ride was Spaceship earth. Of course, she enjoyed TT and M:S but just goes to show that thrill isn't needed everywhere.

From the start? I went to EPCOT close to when it was still opened, probably when I was like 10ish and several years after that. I found it absolutely amazing and didn't mind "learning".

I disagree, Epcot was suffering from neglect. I think the tie-in were just an easy way out. Much less thought, effort, and money to bring people in.

A lesser man would ban you for saying that! EPCOT was (still is?) a brand in itself. I didn't need all the tie-ins with Disney characters, magic wands, etc.
