Re: 2014 WDW Marathon Weekend
Good luck to everyone running, but make sure you enjoy the route. Definitely not a PR course. I would agree. The Disney runs would be about the scenery for me! Of course I would be too busy taking pictures and would never finish  GoPro. Mount that sucker, slow down for any interesting photo o...

Re: Dateline Disneyland
...Why give it away when they can sell it to a surplus place that will sell it for a profit as well? I was actually thinking the same thing...scary... Ah, but that was my point: if they offered it for free, I'll bet one of the museums would still balk at it. That would be a blow to the idea t...

What isn't surprising is MiceChat getting all sentimental about anything that is going to be taken down/altered. Skyway? "If you have fond memories..." Seriously? It's been closed since '94. The Tomorrowland station was axed long ago without tears. The Fantasyland station can just go away....

Some quick searching on vacation homes in Orlando shows no maximum length of stay. The state has no minimum length of stay to declare residency, nor maximum that requires changing residency after a certain date. It all seems very voluntary.

I stopped into Staples today and bought little carpet squares that light up ala the lights in the pavement outside Innoventions in EPCOT ~ they were on clearance for $1 apiece and I saw the possibilities light up before my very eyes! That's neat. How big are they? I could think of a few proje...

Re: Swiss Family Robinson "Hidden" Christmast Overlay
Wizz, Just for clarification, it WAS close to 30 years ago. I only remember it because my father would take his vacation around that time, and his company gave him DL tickets, so we would spend almost every morning in the park while he explained all the ride technology (he was an engineer). I would ...

Re: Swiss Family Robinson "Hidden" Christmast Overlay
Like I said before, the one-day decorating used to be the norm. Happened either Sunday or Monday after Thanksgiving overnight (usually Monday due to park closing earlier, giving them more time). Displays weren't nearly as elaborate, but it was a near miraculous change.

Forty hours, to be approximate. I remember John Madden's book talking about his cross-country trips, and how he indirectly caused some MNF games to be scheduled geographically. I don't know why Whoopi is afraid of flying, but I know why big John was.

I can see a ton of the stuff developed by Imagineers getting the, "Yeaaaa, about all that fancy technology, NOPE. Here's a Lego block and ten inches of string." from accounting.
