I've always looked forward to the plain old ice cream sandwiches (that I can get anywhere, but that seem to taste better at WDW :)

I've always liked walking around Adventureland, but it could use a little more substance.

I started a new post cause I didn't look for old ones first...my bad. I don't have a real problem with updating and changing rides. That does need to happen from time to time. I liked the originals at EPCOT, but changes are made. My real problem is that the Disney Co. has taken intelligent and insig...

Dumbing down of EPCOT

I've mentioned this a couple times, but I can't seem to get it out of my head. With the changes over the last 10 years to the Universe of Energy, changing the Living Seas into that Nemo ride, altering Imagination, and closing Wonders of Life, do you feel that Disney is making EPCOT less cerebral? I ...

When I become Disney CEO, my first act will be to purchase a chicken ranch. That way we will always have ample supply of chicken strips.

I have a potential work trip coming up to Orlando and I am planning on staying at least an extra day to hit EPCOT (yeah, thats right, EPCOT in all caps...I'm old school) and my plan is to come away with the data I need for work, and a recording of the newly renovated Spaceship Earth. I still am not ...

Horizon's could easily have been there in Spaceship Earth. It seems like the new SSE is trying to capture a little bit of the void left by Horizons (and the World of Motion).

First trip was in October 1982. I was 1 and a half years old :) My parents wanted to see EPCOT. The first trip I remember was in January 1986. We stayed at the Contemporary. Spent days at both MK and EPCOT. My brother had been born less than a year earlier and we wanted to stay on the Monorail line ...

So, Disney is going to build a real Polynesian Village. What a beautiful location they have picked. I look forward to making it back out to Hawaii after the resort opens. Very interesting idea this is.

I haven't had any Disney post-retirement ambitions, but my father who has spent his life in Northwest Indiana has always joked (semi-seriously though) about retiring to Orlando and working in the Magic Kingdom walking behind the horses picking up their "deposits." He thinks it would be gre...

Aside from the negative aspect of the cost of a mile of monorail track, Disney-style monorail systems are really a great design. Though the monorail's at Disney World have a 40 MPH speed limit, Bombardier, the manufacturers of the Mark VI monorail, claims the top speed is around 100 MPH. When you co...

The original Universe of Energy. The one where you actually learned something. I loved the technology, the dinosaurs, the movies, the whole thing. The new Ellen ride just doesn't do it. But, it does go along the lines of Disney dumbing EPCOT down. Yea, I miss UoE.

EPCOT without a doubt has always been my favorite. It opened a year after I was born and I remember learning about energy, communications, history, and all that stuff from it's rides. It is really too bad they are dumbing the place down. I miss The Living Seas and The Universe of Energy. I have to a...
