Re: MyMagic+
That's not entirely true, since you can still do all the spontaneous activities of the past, it's just more a benefit for the anal retentive types that like to plan 3 years in advance. Not quite. The Fastpass+ element of this is going to drive standby wait times up considerably. Why do you think th...

Re: MyMagic+
Hi! I know I haven't been here in a long time (please forgive me), but I really wanted to give my two cents about this NextGen/MyMagic+ thing. My high school Economics teacher was fond of saying that no one is in business because they love you, they're in business to make money. And normally I don't...

Re: Best tour to take
Another recommendation for Undiscovered Future World. It's a great tour if you're an EPCOT geek, and if you're not you still get to ride Soarin' via the VIP entrance and you get to sit in the VIP seating area for Illuminations!
My wife also highly recommends Behind the Seeds.

For me it would be the Living Seas VIP lounge. It's peaceful, relaxing, and comfortable.

Re: AVATAR coming to WDW
Oh, Disney is rolling in money. When they say they "can't afford" to do some pet project that we hardcore fans wish they would undertake, what they really mean is that they're not willing to take smaller executive bonuses just to make us happy. Now then, all snarkiness aside, here's my opi...

Re: Are you bored with the MK???
This is a good idea. It's not really my thing, but kids today need more interactive stuff to draw them in. It should be really popular.

Re: River Country Rumor
The ME drivers don't even work for WDW, they work for Mears...But River Country is just sitting there...waiting...for something... Yes, it is. Just like Wonders of Life, the Adventureland Veranda, the former upstairs ImageWorks, the Odyssey pavilion, and Disneylands PeopleMover track. Sadly, the fa...

Re: Who else loves the buses at WDW?
I don't want to get off on a rant here, but . . . A key component of the EPCOT city that Walt intended to build on the Florida property was a futuristic, easy-to-navigate transportation system where there were no traffic jams and the pedestrian was king. Even after Walt died and plans for the city w...

Re: River Country Rumor
When considering the veracity of rumors you hear from bus drivers, there are two rules:
1. Bus drivers don't know anything.
2. When in doubt, see Rule #1.
Just because someone works at WDW doesn't mean that they're privy to any more "inside information" than you can find on the Internet.

Re: Favorite Park Music
EPCOT for me. I loved the old music, but most of the new stuff is good, too, especially the current Spaceship Earth music. Fun fact: the exterior area loop at The Land pavilion is the same one that's been playing there since 1982! Also, you can hear the old Living Seas area music inside the Coral Re...

Re: Favorite show at WDW?
My all-time favorite show is Hyperspace Hoopla, but it only runs during Star Wars Weekends. I don't know if I have a more "regular" favorite show. I love the street performers at DHS and EPCOT's World Showcase; even though they do the same basic routines the different audience members that...

Re: Main Street Electrical Parade VS. Spectromagic?
I'd say Japan's theme parks are better than the USA's (especially Florida's) in just about all respects because they actually care enough to invest money into them. In the USA the fact that WDW's MK is the most-visited theme park in the world is used to justify not spending money on maintenance or o...

Re: Main Street Electrical Parade VS. Spectromagic?
Spectro is the better show. All the praise I've seen for MSEP has been nostalgia-based, and there's not necessarily anything wrong with that. But since my family never stayed in the parks until dark on my childhood visits to WDW, I was able to experience both shows as an adult, without viewing eithe...

Re: Disney Moms Panel
I'm not sure how to feel about the Mom's Panel. On one hand, the panelists I've personally interacted with are great people. But holy Voltron, those Mom's Panel answers are always so relentlessly unstoppably positive and cheerful, even when the questions are incredibly stupid! Dave Barry once theori...

Re: Least comfortable ride seats
Actually...I grew up hating roller coasters...until I rode RnR when it was brand new. After that I was hooked. It was so bad...that on the flight home I was secretly hoping we would hit turbulence so I could get that thrill again! That's funny because I also grew up hating roller coasters...
