Re: Disney Tastes

Well, since taste is mostly smell.... it's pretty hard to separate the two. :) I think it depends on the person. One of the reasons I started this thread is that I couldn't think of any smells that recalled Disney for me, but I have some very specific taste memories of Disney foods (like the Dole W...

Re: Avenge the Monorail!!!

So, when they did it with Tron, I was ok with it. Theme-wise I felt there was a little bit of a connection and I was OK. The avengers tho, I don't see it at all, and I think it looks totally tacky.

Re: What ride have you conquered that you were afraid of?

I was terrified of the bride in the Haunted Mansion when I was little... Heck even when I was older, she still creeped me out. Space mountain also took me forever to conquer. I was down there with one of those friends you always compete with, and neither one of would admit to being afraid of anythin...

Re: What Character Meal is your personal favorite?

Chef Mickey is my all time favorite. The rest of the family also lose 1900 Park, but I love the Contemporary and the classic characters.

Re: WDW - Journey into the imagination

Do they get imput from the guests? Nope. Their first re-do of Imagination was so bad that when Eisner rode it for the first time he demanded them to change it to what it is now. I'm not sure if this is entirely accurate, but I heard Eisner was the driving force to remove Figment the first time. The...

Re: New Hyperion Wharf - makeover Pleasure Island

Maybe it's just me, but I will never go to a movie on a vacation at WDW. We do things at WDW that we can't do at home, like go to the parks, eat at the parks and visit the beautiful resorts. I would however go to Pleasure Island again, listening to live music or a comedy show used to be a fun "...

I have noticed this as well... It seems the 96k requests stream is playing the scheduled stream instead.

...Two seconds later the bus driver had to hit the breaks hard, and the kid went flying. Burst into tears immediately. Dad slowly got up picked the kid up and said "yea cause no one saw that coming" Breakfast at Chef Mickey's: $100 Bus trip to the parks: free Poetic Justice: priceless! :l...

Re: Favorite Quotes Overheard from other Visitors

One of the best quotes I've heard, while riding a mostly empty bus to Epcot, a kid at the back won't sit down after repeated comments from his parents. Finally the dad announces quite loudly. "when we get there, we're mailing you back to Grandma's". Two seconds later the bus driver had to ...

Re: Experiences Visiting WDW Solo

I have gone down to WDW a day before the rest of my family because I was coming from a different city and the airline prices were outrageous. It was fun, I spent the whole day in the Magic Kingdom; it's amazing when you're by yourself how quickly you start up a conversation with complete strangers. ...

Such a hard choice. I love Epcot and MK, but I'd have to choose AK. I love the rhythm of the Asia tracks.

Re: Least comfortable ride seats

Actually...I grew up hating roller coasters...until I rode RnR when it was brand new. After that I was hooked. It was so bad...that on the flight home I was secretly hoping we would hit turbulence so I could get that thrill again! That's funny because I also grew up hating roller coasters...

Re: Saratoga Springs & WDW bus transportation

Ok, I hate starting new topics for stuff like this but I need help and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for on the rest of the Internet. The fam and I are staying at Saratoga this fall and I'm hearing lots of doom and gloom information about terribleness of the bus transportation to the parks....
