Re: Awwwww ain't this sweet?
Anyone remember back in the 70's Bob Snow used to take to the skies in his biplane to promote Church Street Station? I remember :goofy_bounce: ...and on the tour we were with CSS and Rosie O' Grady's was an option for us to visit along with a citris farm of some sort :? I just wanted to stay at Dis...

Re: Favorite Park Music
A 5 hour loop? That would be nice for the CMs working there! Well... I also produced the "Candy Cauldron" BGM when that opened. Only a twelve minute loop. I felt bad for the CMs there! I imagine they end up being able to tune it out for sanity purposes, but still  That is awesome t...

Re: Favorite Park Music
Favorite parks music - EPCOT, specifically the 1982 BGM loop at the entrance. Favorite resorts music - Wilderness Lodge. Other favorites - "Broadway at the Top" - Top of the World lounge at the Contemporary - early 80's and the BGM at Downtown Disney circa 2001. (I produced the 5 hour loo...

Re: Your Absolute Favorite WDW Resort
I've stayed at most of the resorts, but I love Wilderness Lodge and the Poly. WL is relaxing and seems like a world away from the parks. Poly is great for the monorail access and beaches and it's almost as good as being in Hawaii!

Love the Dole Whip. I used to get off work and book it to the MK in the late afternoon for a refreshing pineapple/ vanilla soft serve swirl!
Yum!

Re: Help me remember a ride, please!
The only backstage areas that were shown to guests anywhere on property were on the Backstage Tour at the Studios. I used to work with Lighting and Grip and it was a little strange knowing that everyone was watching you work all the time. Can you imagine if you had hundreds of people riding through ...

Re: Favorite World Showcase Pavillions
I love them all for many different reasons, but I'd choose Japan. The sake and sushi and views from the restaurant are the best! I have some great memories of working Candlelight and racing up there between shows to "warm up" with a quick swig of house sake before heading back to the stage...

I'll vote for the Pirates smell. It's still there and immediately takes me back to being a kid.

Re: Hoop-Dee-Doo Hooplah
Utterly frivolous. The music department of Creative Entertainment has always had to submit every piece through legal to clear copyrights. Including all park and parade shows and background music. Some are covered through a blanket license, others are individually negotiated. (Most are completely own...

I agree. It's not Ellen that I dislike, it's the attraction as a whole that is lacking and is desperately in need of a complete reconceptualization. I miss the old preshow that was designed by Emil Radok with all the slide projectors and the cubes that went in and out. Nightmare to maintain, but ama...
