Re: MK open 24hrs on Feb 29, 2012 (?)

As an information update there is some discussion being scheduled to explore the possibilities of having a 24 hour park opening being offered as a premium pay (like the Christmas and Halloween party events) special event. It looks like the huge attendance numbers in both parks caught the attention o...

MK open 24hrs on Feb 29, 2012 (?)

Time will tell if this is really going to happen but there seems to be a strong rumor that the WDW Magic Kingdom will be open 24 hours (overnight) on February 29, 2012 to commemorate leap year. It also is supposed to apply to Disneyland as well. I seem to recall a few years back the MK was open unti...

Re: Disney Dinning Plan Your Thoughts?

I think the "structured" feeling has really come about over the years due to the drastic increase in on property food service useage and resulting reservation requirements by onsite guests rather than the existence of the Dining Plans. Of course, I'm pretty sure that the increase in onsite...

Re: New Track Additions

Thanks!! We've been to Disney World 20+ times and never even knew this "parade" existed. When the 3:00 "Florida monsoon" hits we use it to round robin our favorite rides.Just goes to show you there's always something new to learn.

Re: Best Breakfeast Buffet

How was the buffet, Jim? Captain's Grille should serve a good one. And, more importantly, how was the coffee???? Actually, I haven't tried the buffet at the Captain's Grille. (I wonder if that's a subconsious avoidance..Hmmm.) The buffet does get high praise though. At any rate, this link will help ...

Re: Re:

Yachtsman Grill! They definitely lose money on me. The only problem is my clothes don't fit after I am done eating breakfast there! I had no idea that Yachtman served a breakfast buffet. Is it also 2 TS? If so, it must be incredible. I think the buffet is at the Captain's Grille but I'll have to do...

Re: Park Hopper or No?

Since the park tickets in the packages seem to be reduced to base tickets, it takes more homework to tailor the total package to our needs. In our case, needing the Park Hopper option (we always have gotten it) is a result of the EMH's and our ADR's. We always get it in advance because of the prorat...

Re: Disney's Art of Animation Resort

I guess the pictures I took a few years ago of the unfinished main building with the two story tall "00", "10", "20", "30" and "40" numbers in the front are going to join my River Country and Horizons photos. I wouldn't say they will join your River...

Re: You get to bring back one extinct attraction for one day

I'd like to ride the Skyway (Sky buckets, Skyway to Tommorowland/Fantasyland) again. We used to average one trip a year while the ride was active but most times we were there they halted them. ( Maintenance, wind, rain, etc) Out of maybe five or eight trips we rode it twice.
