Re: Main Street Electrical Parade VS. Spectromagic?
When I was a CM way back when, I worked both Spectro and ELP. SpectroMagic will always be my favorite. I can even remember back in '91 when Spectro debuted, sitting on the pavement waiting for the parade. My brother and I kept saying that nothing could be better that the MSEP, but by the end of our ...

Re: Your Absolute Favorite WDW Resort
I've stayed at: All Star Music Pop Century Port Orleans Riverside Port Orleans French Quarter Wilderness Lodge Of those my favorite is Riverside, hands down. It's just so beautiful, lush, quiet. I recommend a third floor room in one of the mansions (Parterre is our fave), with a water view if you ca...

Re: Experiences with CMs- care to share?
I swear at least two of the Lion King performers had been there when I last saw the show 10 years ago. That is so funny you mention that show in particular! That's usually the prime place I've seen people I used to know. I think they transferred over once upon a time and just stayed (most of ...

Re: Behind the Waterfall
I think this is my fovoritest track ever from Disney. :D I bought it off of iTunes and listen to it almost every day. It was indeed part of the old Tomorrowland loop. I can say this from experience, as I used to lay down backstage at the old Galaxy Palace Theater and listen to the loop on my lunch b...

Re: Experiences with CMs- care to share?
That is great that you were able to have such a nice experience in the Great Movie Ride. Did that make you like it any better? I want to sit next to you during a parade! I could get awesome pictures :D It's been too long since I was a CM now (12years, actually). Most of the performers were likely s...

It was pretty awesome, except the friend I was with was absolutely terrified. I remember laughing at her and shaking the gondola, because I was evil like that. I wanted to enjoy myself and she was whining the whole time.Amy wrote:That would be awesome to see the fireworks from the Skyway!!

Epcot all the way for me, although all the parks have stuff I just love. Epcot just has a higher percentage.

Re: Close Your Eyes...Where Are You?
I always imagine I'm at Epcot, too, but on the other side of Future World in one of the hollows surrounded by trees. They sort of ruined them by changing them into smoking areas, but my quiet happy mind place is always there under the trees listening to the music.

China is my favorite. It's so beautiful and that shop! I want everything in that shop, and I normally hate shopping.
I am also rather fond of Japan and Morocco as well, but they are all good in their own ways.

Re: Experiences with CMs- care to share?
I used to be a CM, way back in the day. :D One really stands out to me, a great CM. My mom has a peanut allergy, and when she gets traces she ends up needing a wheelchair at the parks. Once upon a time we were both on the Great Movie RIde (not one of our favorites, to be honest). We ended up in the ...

Re: What rides have you been stuck on when they broke down?
We got evaced once from Energy, back when the thing was still relatively new, right as we entered the dinosaur section. I was so sad. I've also gotten stuck on Test Track for a while, which was kind of neat because then I could get some inside pictures of it. :D Got stuck at the end of the Nemo ride...

Re: Were You A Disney Park Fan Before The Internet?
This would be a big "yes" for me. We would get the guide books form the library or just buy them. I wrote a big paper on the history of Epcot for my 11th grade history class. It ended up being a huge binder full of old photos and clippings. I wonder if my mom still has that old thing.

Ooh, good question. Can I have the castle?
Just kidding! Don't think I have the space for it, unfortunately. How about the logo float from Spectromagic? I would love that forever and ever and ever.

Re: What is your favorite retired ride?
I noticed that the music or soundtracks from my favorite retired rides make me happy, except for one - the Journey Into Imagination track. It makes me sad to listen to it, so I suppose that must be the one I miss the most, because it still makes me sad to think it's gone.
