Re: Is anyone else as crazy as I am when it comes to clothin
I always bring a shirt from my 2001 trip - it's holding up well, and it's fun to see all the shirts from previous years around the parks. After that, it's all about keeping cool in the summer heat. The cooler the better, so I just avoid fancy restaurants that frown on the "bummy" attire. I...

Re: What new Character would you like to see at WDW?
How about Elliott from Pete's Dragon? That matches up with the disappearing Cheshire Cat from DLR! Others: Kita and Mole from Atlantis, Dreamfinder and Figment (credit to earlier posts!), E.V.E. and Wall-E (and replace motorized "killer carts" with floating sleds from same movie), Giselle ...

Re: How many Subsonic listeners honeymooned at WDW?
We had to wait 3 years to save up, but we honeymooned at WDW in 2001. It was our first stay on-property, and we've never stayed off-property since! :D Next week, we're going to bring our daughter (18 months old) to WDW for the first time. The whole family is pretty psyched. :goofy_bounce:

Re: Putting together your favorite parts of dinner
This one also takes some travel and serious time to get through it all. Appetizer: Cheese plate from Rose & Crown Drink: Dark beer from Germany pavillion Dinner: Boma - 'nuff said Dessert: Any light pastry from Kringla in Norway, followed by a walk over to enjoy an ice cream sundae from Beaches ...

Re: What have you not done ... and never plan to do?
I'm never going to pay extra for the games in Dinoland. They got my money to get in, they're not getting any more! Amen to that!! Also, One Man's Dream . I know this gets somewhat rave reviews for its recollection of Walt's ideas, I'd be more impressed if the collection of parks were truly an...

Re: What would you change in the Magic Kingdom?
There are some REALLY great ideas in this thread! I'm excited for the potential just reading them. :figment: I also like most of those ideas (especially Miley!), but I also like the fact that there are enough differences between DL and MK to keep people interested in both parks. Attractions lik...

Re: Splitting Meals on the Dining Plan
We split a meal at Rose & Crown with little resistance back in 2002. Since then, most of our TS meals have been spent on character buffets, so I don't know if there have been any rule changes since then.

Re: Best Breakfeast Buffet
We've only ever done Chef Mickey's, but I've heard such good things about the characters at 1900 Park Fare that I think we'll try that one on our next multi-day trip. My wife and I thought 1900 Park Fare had a nice spread, and the decoration was fitting of the name, but be forewarned of the potenti...

Re: Park Hopper or No?
Since the park tickets in the packages seem to be reduced to base tickets, it takes more homework to tailor the total package to our needs. In our case, needing the Park Hopper option (we always have gotten it) is a result of the EMH's and our ADR's. We always get it in advance because of the prora...

mindflipper is on to something here. Does she like purses? There's a Dooney & Burke Disney thread on here that she might like. It might cost you more but at least you'll get your picture! This was the first thing that popped into my head when I read "offer an incentive"! You gu...

This is the resort that got us hooked on staying on property, since we stayed at POFQ we have stayed at CS, All Star Sports, and POP. We will be going "home" in April to stay at POFQ, hands down our favorite resort. POR is definitely our home resort as well. Have stayed some nights at Con...

Re:
We check into our hotel and then head over to the Magic Kingdom. We do it every single time, even having the same discussion about which park to go to first. :D That is EXACTLY what we do. Even on the odd trips where a room has not been available when we first get there, the bags get locked up, and...

Chef Mickey's for sentimental reasons, but Crystal Palace for the food. Tusker House and Ohana are both on our list for the next trip, though. I reserve the right to change my mind in about 3 weeks!

Re: Best place to eat in Epcot?
I'd go for a cup of the onion soup in France, followed by a trip to Kringla Bakerei in Norway for a small dessert, and maybe a stop in Germany for a dark beer. Now that's a lunch...

Re: Park Hopper or No?
Park hopping is an essential part of each of our trips to WDW, namely because AK closes so early. Also, makes it possible to go to start the day at AK, go to DHS after lunch, stroll over to Boardwalk/Beach/Yacht for dinner, and close the evening with Illiminations at EP. Long, but very rewarding day...
