personally, I think the track comments are good enough. but that's just IMHO. That said, I'm no code monkey, so I don't know how hard it would be to implement this. I think that just having the comments attached to the tracks is enough.

that's probably something to talk to your IT department about. They have to have some ports open for normal internet traffic. But, they probably block all other ports. you can see if they'll open up one of the ports we use for you, but that's up to your company policy... if nothing else, just listen...
