Re: Spectromagic

When I did the Keys to the Kingdom tour a couple of years back, the floats were all there still in storage. I saw them with my own eyes. I did read somewhere that about 6 months ago they began pulling them out, cleaning them up and repairing what needed to be repaired. I also believe they had said ...

Re: River Country

If their OC is anything like the OC where DLR is, you have to treat stagnant water with either fish (that eat the larvae) or chemicals. And considering that people aren't being eaten alive by mosquitos at WDW, I am guessing they have been treating the whole property for a while. Vector crisis avert...

Re: River Country

If River Country wasn't visible to guests, I could understand them leaving all the slides, signs & equipment where it is, but when you pass by on a boat it is there for all to see. The stagnant water just sitting in what's left of the pools is great for breeding mosquitos...which happen to be sp...

I have always wanted to go to WDW for this event. Anyone know when the least crowded time is in the spring?

Re: Imagination Pavilion News

He didn't say they were taking it out, just putting it on ice for when the crowds are low. Though, considering the low attendance of the pavilion... not sure the backlash would be that huge. To me it might actually make sense if it goes seasonal. Journey into Imagination and Captain EO both don't d...

Re: Changes coming to Norway Pavillion

Actually it has been a good day, but the world showcase tries to promote itself as a way to expose you to new cultures and people when in reality it is just like a tourist trap but with more humidity. Okay, but the hook would be the good things first, no? No argument on the 'tourist' part of the to...

Re: Wonders of Life Pavilion Memories UPDATE-Buzzy Lives!

I am trying to remember if the head of the NRA and a GOP senator both actively reference the Civil War as a Northern Aggression. Insta-rage is also what would probably happen if Disney started talking about man's role global warming anywhere on property. *I* am trying to figure out how we went from...

Re: Wonders of Life Pavilion Memories

I miss the Wonders of Life. I really loved Cranium Command and Buzzy. Body Wars was a bit rough, and the Making of Me was a little...well, embarrassing, but overall the pavilion was pretty neat. It is sad to think it is simply closed and the shows are gathering dust :( Cranium Command was a favorit...

Re: Changes coming to Norway Pavillion

Pretty much all of the pavilions suffer from the same "tour bus" viewpoint, they don't show life or even modern culture. Just old crap that people saw in movies 70 years ago and expect to be true. World Showcase is there to entertain and give people a relaxing, fun experience. I believe t...

Re: Horizons Tshirt being offered online

$24.95 for each t-shirt or mix and match three for $60. Ack ~ decisions! I don't really need three of the same t-shirt, even if they have different locations on the back...but it is so tempting to save $15 on the set of three...I think I will have to decide between Mesa Verde and Omega Centauri tho...

Re: Disney Expanding Cancellation Fees

I think it makes perfect sense. I can just imagine the amount of cancellations they have each day. They go unfilled because people assume that if they didn't make their reservations months in advance they don't have a chance of getting one at such short notice.
