Re: New Stream addition: Dole-Whip

Just returned from Aulani. Several interesting things to report. One, despite being only 20 minutes from the Dole Plantation, Aulani just got Dole Whips within the last couple of weeks. They are hidden in the Lava Shack and are only labeled as Pineapple Soft Serve in the self serve ice cream machine...

Re: Favorite Resort Restaurant?

I have great memories of dining at Victoria and Albert's at the Grand Floridian with my new bride. Great atmosphere, personalized menu and outstanding service. Quiet and intimate - a great change of pace from a hectic day in the park.

That one is fun :D
I have that as the ringtone on my phone. I get some pretty funny looks when I get a call.

Re: Chat with Mike Brassell (Space Mountain Music)

You could very well be correct. Have you ever heard any of the music of Raymond Scott? This guy was amazing. Created all of his own weird electro-mechanical instruments and then created compositions using them. He was pretty successful at it and really came up with some interesting sounds.

Re: Chat with Mike Brassell (Space Mountain Music)

I wonder why the restriction on theremin? Was it because there was too much of it on previous Space Mountain music or perhaps because theremin music is now associated more now with horror movies than sci-fi? An interesting restriction...

Re: Current International Gateway Loop

Actually, all of the EASEUS software that I've tried is terrific. I've used their partition utility, disk defragmenter, and hard drive image creator. I once had a drive that nothing would work on and found a very good data recovery company. They sent me screenshots showing that they could recover wh...

Re: Go, Go, Go... or relax and smell the roses?

It was very different for us, that's for sure. We stayed at the Polynesian and explored every inch of it. There are so many little things to see and do at each resort. You miss them when you don't do anything but sleep there. Took a bunch of photos of stuff that we'd normally pass by without giving ...

Re: Go, Go, Go... or relax and smell the roses?

We've done the Go, Go, Go thing for years. Our youngest is now 12. This past weekend, my wife and I went down to WDW to hear her perform at Magic Music Days. Since she was staying with her group, we were alone at WDW for the first time in 20 years. I think we only went on two rides - spent most of o...

Re: Disney reveals it is testing a talking Mickey Mouse

This looks great in the video, but I could see where it would be intimidating in real life, especially for little kids. When you're little, not only are you starstruck, but these things are HUGE! The fact that they are silent and move slowly makes them more approachable for a timid little kid. Also,...

Re: Nap-worthy attractions

I would never have dreamed of napping on anything the first few times I went to WDW, especially when my children were little. Now, having been on the attractions so many times, I can actually think of several that are nap worthy for me. I wouldn't say that I nap on them every time, but I've napped o...

Re: What song is this?

You might want to do a YouTube search for "Mickey's Dancing Disneyland Band" You'll find a number of videos. Maybe one of them will sound familiar. Lots of marching band intros are kind of generic and you can't really tell what song they are playing until 5 or ten seconds into it. You migh...

1900 Park Fare. Sentimental reasons, mostly. However, the Mad Hatter and Alice have been quite entertaining on several occasions.
