Re: Talking Mickey Returns

I'd have to see him in person and see how I'll react. As long as kids don't get weirded out by it. I hope not too. But, the Youtube video in the article of Jonathan meets Mickey shows just how special this can be, I think. I really hope Disney does more experiences like this and can make it special...

Re: Talking Mickey Returns

You know, I think that people are saying that, but there's a disconnect seeing it in video. When you see him talking, it is very natural and seems like something they should have had a long time ago. Now, if there were talking Beast or Happy the dwarf, I'd feel creeped out for some reason. Talking M...

Talking Mickey Returns

If you didn't catch the news last year, Disney's been testing a talking Mickey walk around character that interacts with guests. He was back in the park this week, and here's the breaking news:

Re: Free Tron Legacy Imax Preview Tickets

I haven't seen the IMAX showing yet, but I gotta say that the Dbox was an experience. And half the time it feels like you're getting a massage while watching a movie. It doesn't move all the time, but when there's vehicles moving (and a lot in this movie) you lean to the direction a vehicle is turni...

Re: Free Tron Legacy Imax Preview Tickets

I saw it this weekend in 3d DBox format (moving seats), and I thought it was great! I agree that the soundtrack is phenomenal. I don't know why it's gotten some bad reviews and press, it's one of my favorites of the year. It did not disappoint with me.

I like the idea, Sub. But, glad I'm not the only one that does not belong to Twitter.

A Subsonic Twitter feed is getting me closer to joining, though.

It is a sad day for the Disneys. And it does seem like a sad month for them.

Happy Birthday, Mickey! 2009 edition

Well, I'm a little late with this, but I've usually posted something about it being Mickey's birthday today. Mostly because I share the same birthday as the Mouse. So...

Nooooooooooooooo! I loved tiger tails. And the menu items were great! I haven't eaten there in quite a while I guess. Doesn't seem like that long, but I do remember them having all the items that they've had for so long.

It's been very popular. I went on a Saturday and on a Monday and both days had about the same time for lines and Fast Pass was out by 2 pm. But, this is one of the most fun rides I've been on! It's not going to last until December because it's just Halloween, so if you can go to the park for a coupl...

D23 Expo Day Report

Just went to the Expo today. Sadly, I could only go today and wish I was able to go multiple days. Here's a report of what I did: The booths area all amazingly put together. The Disney parks one featured models direct from Imagineering of Cars Land and prototype Audio-Animatronics. There were also p...

The Fairfield Inn is where my family and I have stayed at a number of times and it can be decently priced and is right across the street. We've also stayed in the Desert Inn, I believe, and one other on that strip. They're not bad and kinda cheap. I've stayed at the Double Tree, which is down Harbor...

Dragon's still not working, as far as I know. I've heard that Flotsam and Jetsam are down for a few days too. Might want to wait until September.

I went "opening night" and there was no Dumbo. I went again and he was in the show. A week later I went to see Fantasmic, but the dragon has been broken. Flotsam and Jetsam and the new Croc were working. Still need to see the Electrical Parade. Oh, and they made some enhancements to Pixie ...

Non park location are the courtyards at the Grand Californian. It's the ones that are next to the hotel's entrance to Downtown Disney.

In the park, I like the Hungry Bear and where I can watch the river activity.
