Just Booked..Solo Trip for my 50th!!!!

I am way too excited. After much hand wringing and trying to figure out how to get this paid....I booked myself a trip to WDW in September to celebrate my 50th b'day. :ccat: Less than 60 days away AND with free dining. I am actually going to take a splurge and book the Flying Fish Chef's Tasting Win...

Re: 50th Birthday at WDW

Hi! I am also celebrating my 50th this year and will be traveling solo late summer! FYI if you like seafood, the Flying Fish has a Chef's Table/Wine Tasting.
It is a bit less expensive than V&A. Enjoy!

Re: What's with all the Christmas Music?

I'm in agreement. Christmas music just popped up again while I'm at work and it is way too early for my liking. Changing streams.

37 Days 'til 1st Solo trip (sort of)

My 2 sons will be on a HS Band trip, taking a 24+ hour bus ride each way, staying at AS Music, playing at Epcot! I couldn't pass up the opportunity to watch my favorite people play at my favorite place and they didn't want me to chaperone  , so I booked flights, 4 discounted nights at Port Orl...

To me, the concept of an electronics driven scavenger hunt sounds fun, but neither myself or my teen sons have ever watched Kim Possible - maybe they could have integrated Tom Morrow or even TinkerBell into it! Anyway, I personally work in the cell phone industry but am not a Verizon subscriber. I b...

I'll add my 2 cents. I had a few experiences in the past 2 trips that drove me nuts. First of all, there was a woman gabbing on her cell phone as we walked the Pangani Forest Trail in the AK. She was loud and obnoxious and even though we lingered to let her get far ahead of us, we could hear all abo...

Sonny Eclipse just plain creeps me out, but I dislike the yodelling tracks the most.
One time when the Indiana Jones Generator track was on, I spent the length of the track searching out what was broken and making that sound in my office.

I'd LOVE to go back to DL an meet some like minded folk there. Our first trip was last June. It was right around the opening of the Nemo submarines and it was so crowded. It would be super to be able to tour the parks without crowds, but alas, I don't think it will happen. There's always dreaming ri...

Coronado Springs Dig Site bgm

My sons and I were at Coronado Springs last November and had the best time there. We loved listening to the bgm at the Dig Site pool. One morning, my youngest and I were up and doing laundry at about 6:00am and were surprised to hear the music drifting across the lagoon. It was just fabulous. Anyway...

I'd save up and stay for two weeks if I could. I'd love to do a week at the Beach Club and a week at the Poly....not likely unless I hit lotto! So far the longest we've stayed is 10 nights at POR with the dining plan. A MUST since I travel with my 2 teenage sons. If we did book for 14 nights I think...

I am still stunned by how excellent Disneyland's fireworks are. The show lasted the entire walk from the end of the Electrical Light Parade at DCA to our hotel - the Howard Johnsons! What a spectacle!
