Animare (Disney Inspired Fiction on OMNI)

My short story, Animare got picked up by Omni. I'd love it if you would give it a read and tell me what you think of it.

Re: Hooray for me?

I did Disneyland solo for the first time last April. But I admit I was not solo the entire day. There were friends in the park, but they all wanted to couple-off and I was left on my own for several hours. It actually was kind of nice. While Disneyland is great to share with those you love, there ca...

My Encounter with the Hatbox Ghost

So last weekend, I made it to the original Magic Kingdom and at the top of my to-do list was to ride the Haunted Mansion to see the latest edition, the Hatbox Ghost. I gotta tell you, the glimpse you get of him is exceedingly brief, and I only rode twice so I tended to focus on little details instea...

Re: Screams on California Screamin'

I happened to catch this story on the local news as I was getting my hotel room in Anaheim situated. I still rode the thing the next day. California Screamin' is probably my favorite coaster at the Disneyland Resort, with Big Thunder Mountain coming in a close second.

Re: I Had Fun With Farley!

Indeed! I am always happy to meet new friends, especially at Disneyland! From the reading and video watching I have been doing, I gotta be honest, the SIZE of Walt Disney World seems a bit overwhelming to me, where at Disneyland it is possible (but tiring) to walk from one sinde of the property to t...

Re: Understanding the appeal of California Adventure

Thankfully they have not found a way to make Turtle Talk with Crush Frozen-themed. Are you trying to jinx it? Cuz that's how you jinx it. Just kidding  . Haha funny enough I even asked him, "Do you ever encounter sea ice? Because you seem to be the only thing around here that isn't froze...

Re: Understanding the appeal of California Adventure

I found out my recent trip that my love for California Adventure is not really shared by my traveling partner. Mostly there is a much smaller percentage of rides there that appeal to her. While she loves the Ariel's Undersea Adventure ride to pieces, most of the rides are either big thrill rides or ...

Re: I Had Fun With Farley!

Stuff like this makes me want to get out to Walt's park all the more. I've lived within an hour of Disney World property my whole life, gone countless times, and it's always fantastic -- But I get the feeling from what I see online that Disneyland has so many more finishing touches that make every ...

Re: I Had Fun With Farley!

Well I live about 5 or 6 hours away depending on traffic, but it is close enough that I can go several times in a year. In 2014 we spent 26 days at the Parks. We are just about 2 weeks into 2015 and we are up to 4 days. :) I saw Farley today as well, and he remembered me. I found him on Facebook thi...

I Had Fun With Farley!

Yesterday marked one year since my fiancee and I started going to Disneyland together. We are still discovering these fun little things one can do at Disneyland, and yesterday we discovered one of those gems that was not known to us. We were taking that "back route" from Big Thunder Mounta...

Bambi's Mom (spoilers!)

So I am watching Bambi tonight, and something was not sitting right with me. I mean, why would a hunter harvest a doe, when there is a good selection of bucks around, not to mention this great 12-point trophy buck known to us as the Great Prince of the Forest? If you know any hunters, you would know...

Understanding the appeal of California Adventure

Back in January, I had my first visit to Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, after two days of my first return to Disneyland in about 23 years. The Disneyland Park experience was steeped in nostalgia, which this new park did not trigger at all. On top of that, I had a cold, it was hot with very ...

Re: Fantasmic Goes To Fastpass System

While I did not view Fantasmic during my December visit, with the fastpass system in place, it was MUCH MUCH easier to navigate through New Orleans Square and Frontierland in the late afternoon and early evening, where in the past, people were already setting up camp in front of the Rivers of Americ...

Re: Disneyland First Timer

Well I have never been to Florida, so I don't know what the contrast would be like from WDW, but I think I will give some general advice. No one has mentioned food yet! One of my favorite things to eat is Broasted Chicken, and they serve it at the Plaza Inn (at the end of Main Street on the right fa...

Re: Fantasmic Goes To Fastpass System

I actually suggested they do this to one of the kind plaid-vested people when I was there in October. I guess I whispered in the right ear... that or many people felt the same way I did.
