:( Disney Dining Experience (DDE) card isn't worth it anymore. We don't need someone telling us what to tip and resent having 18% automatically deducted making the card a 2% savings in actuality.

Oh they are absolutely all from the same place when it comes to counter service. Just a question of who's grilling at B&C, Pecos Bill, etc. and how long they've sat there.

We tried it once. Our experience was that it was way too much food especially on top of all the goodies available to Concierge Lounge guests.

We've actually been considering a cruise for our next Disney vacation, but haven't really been on a true cruise before. Is it worth skipping the parks to hit the cruise lines? :?: Yes, it is. We've done several 7-nighters on the Magic as well as 4-nighters on the Wonder. If you are not comfortable ...

You may want to inquire as to where the construction will be when you are down there as it is scheduled well into Spring of 2009.

Give her a copy of the Unofficial Guide to WDW. Not only will this underscore (and create panic) about planning, it will also give her accurate information. I don't help plan any Disney vacation unless I am asked to help. I agree totally. Just offer a used copy from your collection for their pre-tr...

Has anyone stayed at the AK Lodge during Christmas? That's one I'd like to see decorated. Yes we've stayed that time of year several times at AKL. The tree is amazing and they put an edible village up down by Boma that's amazing. Forget what all else. I'll see if I can find some pictures to post.

What about viewing Wishes from the beach of the Poly after dinner at Narcoosies?

Dinner at Bistro de Paris is a favorite of ours as well.

We go down a couple times a month. February is a great time to go as long as you do it at the beginning or end of the month to avoid the NE winter breaks. The temps are starting to warm up. There is no humidity. January, as a PP mentioned is value season which adds to its charm.

We've had trips overlap the Free Dining the three or so years they've offered it. As long as you have your ADRs done in advance you'll be fine. Just like a previous poster mentioned it WAS NOT packed! Alot of people wait and go as close to the beginning of F&WF as possible and even then it wasn'...
