New Fantasmic Ending (2008)

I saw the new Fantasmic ending (with new pyrotechnics) for the first time this weekend. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vznsyYFH_4 (someone else's video, in case you want to see what I'm talking about) It was all right, although I wasn't an enormous fan of the last green fireworks that went off on t...

Maybe Sunday, since it's not a SoCal blockout day. Sounds neat! Meetups are fun.

No, it was a good question. I'm not particularly familiar with the show, but I will try to help. The DVD you found is not an official Disney release, but I believe it is a documentary-style DVD that is higher quality than "homemade." It is probably a good source of information if you are l...

I always loved it, though I haven't been since I was a kid. The potato pancakes seemed good back then; hopefully they still are. :)

It's a great show all the way through, but I most love how the last round of fireworks explode and echo off into the distance just after the music ends. :mickey:

Well, that and hearing the original "Main Street Electrical Parade" announcement.

I agree that that track is amazing. I spent a while searching for the songs in the pre-show last year and found a list on Amazon.com pointing to the songs (and CDs containing the songs) in both the '99-'04 preshow and the '04 to present preshow. http://www.amazon.com/gp/richpub/syltguides/fullview/D...

I do love the music (pre- and post-show music, too) for IllumiNations, although I've seen only the original IllumiNations in person. I also enjoy the music for the Electrical Parade and have sort of a vicarious nostalgia for the parade now even though I never saw it in Disneyland or Disney World gro...

I'm still afraid to hold my hands up on it (Space Mountain)! Maybe if I go on again I'll try it and make sure it works. I thought the lighting was really cool; being able to see the track (especially how it disappeared around corners) somehow made the ride feel faster than normal. Weird, righ...

Disney's done some great things in collaboration with external properties like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and the Muppets. (Even though I'm not too pleased with what Disney's done with the Muppet performers, DVD releases, and so on since buying the Muppets, I'm a big fan of the classic Muppet*Vision ...

It's a fun twist on an existing attraction, but I don't think it would stand up as well on its own.

The store's been at Disneyland since I started going in December (after moving out west), so it must have opened in June of a previous year. Actually, from the link at http://www.laughingplace.com/Info-Att-L-DL-MS.asp, it looks like it was in 1999!

OMG, I've seen Dreamflight on the "recently added tracks" list but I *just* remembered what it was. That ride was awesome!!! I remember they added it to Tomorrowland sometime between two of my trips as a kid, and we went on it multiple times whenever we'd visit WDW after that. I think my d...

Sounds like something they'd say in Honey I Shrunk the Audience... whoever the dad is, after totally wiping out or something? Okay, I just looked him up on IMDB: Rick Moranis. I think he says something like that in Ghostbusters, too, and no one pays attention to him. [edit:] I just queued it u...
