Re: Art of Animation Resort Trip

No worries, Amy. We most certainly will take lots of pics! My wife and I took our daughter down for her 1st beach trip this past Sun. and ended up taking 133 pictures in just under 2 hours. lol Just glad we have digital cameras these days! =) I'll be sure and post a trip summary here with tips and a...

Re: Art of Animation Resort Trip

Thanks, cccmouse! I agree about the value of the suite style layout! My wife and I opted for the Little Mermaid standard room for our trip, but I think we'll do the family suite next time. Maybe when our daughter gets a sibling or two. ;)

Hope you all have fun in January!

Re: Art of Animation Resort Trip

Will do, Goofyfan! Might have to upgrade my hard drive to hold all the photos I imagine we'll take. ;) Your daughter's first Disney trip doesn't come along every day!

Art of Animation Resort Trip

My wife and I will be taking our daughter over to Disney World's Art of Animation Resort in February of next year! Can't wait! Has anyone got any tips/comments/suggestions? It will be our first time staying at the resort.

Re: Disney Hollywood Studios Expansion Rumored

Interesting news. I do hope the GMR stays in some form or fashion. A complete, more immersive redesign would be nice...just so long as it has the spirit of the old ride!

Re: Which are the best restaurants in Downtown Disney

T-Rex is better than Rainforest. I second this T-Rex statement. We have (actually had, they just closed) a Rainforest Cafe near my home and I also went to the one at Animal Kingdom and neither compared to T-Rex. I found the decorations to be a lot better and I also liked the fact that different par...

Re: Which are the best restaurants in Downtown Disney

Without a doubt, Raglan Road and Fulton's Crab House are my wife's and my favorites. Try the Smokey City dip at Raglan Road as an appetizer and definitely try the bread and butter pudding! Have fun! :ccat: Hmmm, the Smokey City dip sounds interesting ~ what's in it? EDIT: Answered my own question ~...

Re: The Tiki Room

I couldn't agree more! It might be just a rumor, but I remember reading somewhere that there had been a fire in the updated ride and that the newer animatronics (Iago, etc.) had been damaged. Either way, I'm glad it's back to the original!

Re: How frequently do you visit WDW?

I live only about an hour away, but finances the last two years have kept my family and I away. That should change shortly! Can't wait to make more new memories at WDW!

Re: Which are the best restaurants in Downtown Disney

Hands down, Raglan Road is my wife's and my favorite restaurant in Downtown Disney! Irish food with a modern flair; the food is fantastic! I recommend the Smokie City dip for an appetizer (smoked haddock, potatoes, tomatoes, and Dubliner cheese) and the Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding for dessert! ...

Re: Your Absolute Favorite WDW Resort

Have stayed at: Port Orleans-Riverside, Contemporary Resort, Polynesian, and Ft. Wilderness cabins. All of the above were fun and clean, but, hands down, my favorite has always been the Ft. Wilderness cabins. You've got the horseback riding, woodsy environs, relaxing seclusion, and close proximity to...
