Odd how the dates also match when I will be down there. Maybe I should look for you guys to see if I can meet you all for the 90th time.
FYI: I still haven't booked anything yet. There is still plenty of time to save and book.

Re: Pirates Disneyland v's Disney World
The building and the ride (track, etc.) didn't change - just the decor. Characters were added/subsituted in IASW in DLR, while the HM at WDW pictures changed, a room of stairways where there was an empty room of spiders, and a change-out of the attic to a new theme and new bride (the attic was repl...

Re: Pirates Disneyland v's Disney World
After reading Doctor R's extensive forensic analysis of what it would take to rework POTC in WDW, I'm of the opinion that it just wouldn't be worth doing. That's a heck of a lot of hassle and expense just to marginally improve one ride. Also, it seems Disney is more interested in investing in up-an...

Re: Where in DLR?
OK, since we seem to be dying down here......
Recap: I said earlier that it wasn't a pole along Big Thunder Trail (technically), and It isn't On the Dock, not around the Rivers of America, not the entrance to Frontierland
New Hint: Not in Big Thunder RAnch Barbecue

Re: Single Rider
Are you serious?? Did they have a reason as to why they got rid of it? Only reason I can see them getting rid of something is that, like the TSM and Soarin' here at WDW, it wasn't working. It does seem like they have been getting rid of the single rider lines from some attractions - is it because o...

Re: Pirates Disneyland v's Disney World
OK, lots of good thoughts going on here, I like it. It is true that Disneyland has entire sections that Walt Disney World, personally I would love to see those added, but we all know that is the least likely out of all of this. After looking at the google satellite images I see now that the only way...

Re: Single Rider
Apparently Midway Mania out in California Adventure has eliminated single rider. This angers me, since I always go on Midway Mania by myself, unless I am challenged to a duel.

Re: Pirates Disneyland v's Disney World
That's good info, Dr. R. It makes sense too, because I can't think of any other reason for not doing it the same way as DLR. I think they could still do the restaurant, though, without shutting down the ride completely. They could actually incorporate part of the queue into it as well if they reall...

Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now?
The new episode of Hawaii Five-0. I love this show. Your right that show is better when you aren't watching it and just listening. :) Buzzing and ruckus...we're having windows replaced and we're also having tornado winds here today (great day for windows to be replaced) also lotsa debris hitting ou...

I also just had the opportunity to read your report and it sounds like it was fun. I hope all goes well with your expenses and income, and I hope your wife finds something less stressful to do in future (no air traffic controller or anything like that).

Re: Pirates Disneyland v's Disney World
I know Paul Frees is the Auctioneer but I'm not sure about the Captain. As for the Restaurant being in California and Paris and not WDW that is due to the Budget and time. The Imagineers that were working on WDW decided late in the game to build POTC and to get it done in time for park opening they ...

Re: Where in DLR?
Not on the Dock.
the Hint I will give you is that you are all very close. Think of where you can see Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is big enough to see in a bubble.

Re: Disneyland Meetup Oct. 16th-17th 2010
We had drinks at Grand Californian before hand. I had a double rum and diet coke and then a Jager bomb (or two, I don't remember at that point). Then at elecTRONica I had another drink (or two, again, I don't remember). 2 of each listed was what I saw and those Jager Bombs were larger than most pla...

It is technically in Frontierland but NOT at the entrance.
