Re: Calling it MGM *GASP*
By now I think most people have stopped calling it "Disney's Hollywood Studios" and just call it "Hollywood Studios" or "The Studios". I have heard rumors that the name "studios" may be going away eventually anyway since nothing is filmed there and most refer...

Re: Sorcerer's Hat being removed from HS?
The entire park of Hollywood Studios is pretty much being redone. The only rides that are safe from the remodel are Tower of Terror, Rock n Rollercoaster, Toy Story Midway Mania, and Star Tours. I originally thought movie ride would be safe, but now talks have increased about removing it. People may...

Re: Sorcerer's Hat being removed from HS?
I remember a post I posted somewhere on this site last year talking about this happening at the end of 2014. It is good news indeed. The hat was so misplaced with all of the iconic hollywood buildings that line the street up to Great Movie Ride. Now the view will be what it was meant to be

Re: Toy Story Mania only FastPass+ Accessible This Week
Disney is employing this tactic of trying to increase capacity by not adding in any new attractions, entertainment etc to keep people occupied. This is a test of the ride ability to operate as a FP+ only attraction in advance of the the addition of a third track, which is now currently in work. When...

Backlot Tour Closing
September 27th is now the final day of operation for the Backlot Tour. The ride has been a former shadow of itself for a long time and is justified. The question now is what's going to be there. A few years ago there were talks of placing radiator springs in the area. The issue right now for that pl...

Re: Off Kilter
Guests were lucky to see 2 characters. Those two meet and greets were the only things they could do during the entire event. The party itself looked like it had good quality but overbooked completely. If there was at least 5000 less people the party would have been better

Re: Off Kilter
Yeah, it does seem like WDW is capitalizing on the fact that there are people willing to pay extra for almost any experience. And yes, I know WDW is a corporation and they are trying to make money, but it seems like they are taking some shortcuts that are really going to alienate some of the guests...

Re: Off Kilter
This is no surprise since the budget/cost related to NGE's has been overrun. It is the same reason why there has been a very large increase in "special" events. Heck there is now even a VIP section for a special event (desert party in Cinderella's castle during MNSSHP).

Re: Anybody heard any rumors about Marvel rides?
The only rumor I have heard about Marvel in U.S parks is to have a marvel themed ride in DCA similar to Rock n Roller-coaster in the back corner of Hollywoodland. It would be a similar design to the proposed Marvel plan at Disneyland Paris.

Re: New ride closure rumors
That's what I thought of as well at first. I wouldn't think the TL area there could handle a large star wars area. Also it seems like that the area of Toontown isn't as utilized as it currently is. This is a WDW thread so I guess we should head back in that direction. In non rumor news, it is a bit ...

Re: The American Idol Experience - Closing!
This news came out earlier than I expected. I thought the experience would last a little longer. The talks I have been hearing are that they want to have the Frozen Sing Along an all year around experience and will take over the building.

Re: New ride closure rumors
Talks are going around that the first "Phase" of Pandora is aimed for a 2017 date. The boat ride that is planned will not be part of the 2017 opening and will open later (looking around a year or two after)

Re: New ride closure rumors
Place Star Wars in Toontown? That doesn't make much sense. I assume you mean "replace" Toontown with Star Wars...which again doesn't make sense as DL's Toontown is actually well-done and I assume gets a decent amount of traffic as opposed to Mickey's Toontown Fair from WDW which got very ...
