Disneyland in December

Did anybody here happen to go to Disneyland a day after Christmas? I couldn't believe how crowded it was. They actually had to turn people away because they reached maximum capacity. I look forward to going again in March. I hope it's not as crowded. The wait times were crazy! But of course, I still...

Re: What line is worth waiting hours for?

Space Mountain, Tower of terror, Splash moutain. I hope Radiator Springs Racers is worth waiting for. I have heard it's a very long wait with or without fast passes. Honestly though, lines don't bother me too much for any ride.

Re: What is audio in Cars Land like?

I was watching a Disney vacation planning DVD and noticed a restaurant that seemed to have a great view of the radiator springs raceway and background. I have not been to California Adventure since Cars land opened so I don't know what it is. Do any of you have any idea which restaurant in Cars lan...

Re: Fantasyland/Matterhorn

If you recall, in the past the cars each had two "rows" which could each have up to two people in each seat, now it's a fixed 3 rows per car (each with a single rider) and if you are taller that means your legs are now closer to your chest. It's not fetal position, but it's not exactly co...

Re: Fantasyland/Matterhorn

The cars have been updated to meet safety codes, the mountain has also been given a more realistic look (they added glass to the paint to give the snow a more real look in the sunlight), safety rails (again to get up to code), a general clean up. I am not a huge fan of the new cars since they are n...

Re: Things not to miss!

One note, the monorail has been iffy in terms of being running over the past few months. Even then, it's like a 5 min walk from the side entrance of the GC to the security tent. Thanks for pointing that out. It's been three years since I stayed at the Grand Californian so I'll keep that in mind for...

Re: Things not to miss!

Thanks to Amy - I'm joining in on this thread and asking for DLR advice! Haven't been in 10 years and barely remember anything, so I feel like everything will be new to me. Staying at the Grand Californian...super pumped about that as well. Looking for food suggestions, trip tips and recommendation...

Re: Things not to miss!

How severe allergies and aversions are we talking about? Well, my Mom is allergic to shellfish/seafood and strawberries. And she can't tolerate sausage or bacon anymore. I'm allergic to coconut and moldy blue cheeses and pretty much don't eat beef, game or any dark meat ~ whether it be chicken, duc...

Fantasyland/Matterhorn

The last time I went to Disneyland, the Matterhorn and Fantasyland were being refurbished. I am going again next month and I am curious what the changes were(if any). Can anybody explain the changes to me? Or anything else that has changed since 2010? Thanks!
