Re: Shanghai Disneyland Trip Report: October 21-23, 2016
What was that bus ad promoting corn-sumerisim (first photo on the door) about?

Re: Disneyland 2016
The companies (if I recall) are not buying at the rate they charge consumers, it is a "wholesale" price. The hardest part, at least in a state with a large size and large volume of homes with solar panels on the grid, is that you can have the panels installed for months before you can actu...

Re: Disneyland 2016
Right now they get tax credits, considering they want to drive the industry. Once it gets saturated enough the credits will go away. People getting solar panels they own outright (there are other setups where you pay rent on the cells and buy the power they produce) had the option of being able to s...

Re: Disneyland 2016
Why would they need to tax it beyond normal? They have to pay property tax on the location and energy probably is subject to normal taxes as well. Plus, it being part of the various big producers, they have to pay taxes on the sale of it.

Re: My USA-Trip someday in 2017 or 2018
I do not have a scoop on that. From what the rumors say, they need to ship the parade somewhere else (possibly Paris or WDW). It wasn't lack of interest, but I wouldn't be surprised if it shows up at WDW while we get MSEP. The goal of the MSEP stuff is that they are going to drive nostalgia during o...

Re: My USA-Trip someday in 2017 or 2018
In your case, I don't think you would have had much warning, the changes to nightly performances (other than Fantasmic being down due to there being no river) were somewhat sudden along with the announcement that Paint the Night was going on hiatus. I think they may had even said it after you booked...

Re: My USA-Trip someday in 2017 or 2018
It heavily depends on when you are going and if there are any things on your skip list. If it isn't summer (June to early Sept) then 2 days usually is enough. If there are rides you have zero interest in (such as ones that are the same in other parks, shows, rides for little kids, rides that you wou...

Re: WDW on Black-ish Season 3 Premiere
My guess is that 2 happened due to the dark setting of the ride would be impossible to light without looking terrible and they would then need to get clearance from people to use audio and visuals from the movie/score. Though, since they would also want to film when crowds are manageable, and weathe...

Re: Is Soarin' Around the World as awesome as the original?
The CG for the India segment is horrible, I have a few suspicions as why they had to go for the CG version rather than the real thing. Also, kinda heavy on the death monuments for a theme park ride.

I would imagine 50 shades of grey is in there, that should work, Hateful 8 is pretty good too.

Alive is also a Disney film distributed by Buena Vista Pictures, so it is the obvious choice.

Re: WDW removes Steven Tyler gesture from Preshow
I am trying to recall, does the DS version use any Non-English language for the pre-show? Other than cutting off the other actors from possible royalties, they could have done a redress of the ride with the euro content as an alternative that wouldn't have enraged the talent.

Re: Mosquito Madness at the Mouse
That is very surprising, especially when they are so proactive inside the parks. I would have expected it to be like DLR where there is no standing water. There is a "pond" near our BTM but it too runs through the same filters that the river does (they are connected) so there is no smell o...
