Re: Electric Water Pageant and BLT

I believe you need to be at the Contemporary to see the EWP. We usually view it from the dock.

Re: No monorail service during EMH

We're a bus family anyways so this doesn't really affect us much... However I could see where it may back things up a bit for certain guests. My thought is that you are a bus family and it doesn't affect you right now. However, now, with no monorail service, all those people who used to take the mo...

Re: No monorail service during EMH

Since Epcot doesn't close until 9:00pm every night (except EMH) wouldn't that mean the monorail to get you from Epcot to TTC and then TTC to your hotel would run until 10:00pm, thus the "local hotel" monorails would be running until 10:00pm every night? And what if you have a dinner reserv...

Holidays at Disneyland

Hi all. I'm a Walt Disney World person (live in Georgia) so I'm not too familiar with all the goings on at Disneyland during the holidays. The last time we went was about 7 years ago and we are thinking of going in 2012 after all the new things are completed. We'd like to go for Haunted Mansion Holi...

Thanksgiving Trip?

I'm thinking about taking the family to WDW for Thanksgiving week/day/weekend. Leave home on Wednesday, parks on Thursday - Saturday, home on Sunday. Anyone ever done this and how are the crowds?

Re: Planning an August trip....

My best advice is to go early, early in the morning, even choose the early entry parks if you are staying on property. Then leave immediately after lunch, no later than 1:00pm, spend the HOTTEST PART OF THE DAY, and I mean 90+ degrees hot in August, in the cool of your room, or shopping, or if you l...

Re: The double edged sword of air conditioning....

I know at some of the resorts on property they won't circulate the air in the rooms if you're not in there. I believe every time the door opens in your room (at least according to maintenance at Coronodo Springs - I called) the a/c in your room shuts off because the room assumes you are out for the ...

Re: The double edged sword of air conditioning....

Man, the feeling of walking in to air conditioning from a hot human Orlando day is one of my favorite feelings. I also like walking by open stores and feeling the rush of cool air. I agree with you MansionButler! The swing from super hot to super cold is so refreshing. It just makes you feel good a...

Re: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

We've done the party for the past 3 years now but are not going this year. Last year was a disappointment. They turned the castle on around 6:00 - 6:30 so that even if you weren't staying for the party you could still have the experience of the beautiful "ice" castle. Unfortunately, they t...

Re: Christmas Must-Do's at the Resorts?

I would totally visit the Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Clubs, as well as the Grand Floridian. These are probably the three best. The full scale gingerbread house in the Grand Floridian is amazing and their Christmas Tree is beautiful. The Yacht Club has a train display which is really, really cute, th...

River Roost Lounge

Hi All, I wondered if anyone has experienced Bob Jackson at the River Roost Lounge recently. We're taking a trip in December and have never done his show. We'd like to eat bar food and drink beer but I can't find a decent, updated menu. Plus, the one time we walked through Port Orleans and saw the m...
