Re: favorite restaurant in the "World"

Not sure it would be my favorite, but I would like to share a first trip to the Wave. It was lovely and we plan to go back. Lunch was not busy, service was just right (aware of us but not crowding us), menu had lots of choices, and our salads were served crisp and cold and fresh. And those little de...

Re: Ideas on new Haunted Mansion que

I would welcome an addition to the graveyard...with some tombstones from the "dead" original attractions. I always look for Toad when we pass there and give him a silent salute...but I get cranky when they mess with a good thing...and unrelated, but sort of related, I am peeved that Snow W...

Re: So, TDL is partly under water. . .

Because my family was there this time last year, and because they came back with glowing stories of how beautiful it was, how kind, generous, gracious, and thoughtful the people were, how adorably precious the children were, how spotlessly clean the parks and hotel were kept, and how much they wanted...

Re: Resort Hotel Drinking Mugs

I just went thru the pantry and we have an awful lot of those mugs. I thin Goodwill is going to get a box. I think we were even able to buy them at one time when we were not staying at a particular location. So now I guess they will be strictly limited to hotel guests, maybe they always were, but I ...

Re: Spectromagic or The Electric Light Parade?

I love the tradition behind MSELP but I miss Spectromagic and its spectacular glamor a lot. I hope they bring it back soon...the little parade is sweet, but truthfully, it didn't entertain me like it used to. (Of course maybe it was because it was hot and crowded, but truthfully, I want Spectromagic...

Re: When you first enter the Studios, do you go right or lef

I usually go straight and get a table at Starring Rolls.
Then while J gets fastpasses for Toy Story I order coffee, cherry turnovers, etc.
If he takes too long I eat his turnover!

Re: Resort Hotel Drinking Mugs

I once bought an older mug from a person in the dining room drinking from it...it was a Dixie Landings and had the the Brer characters on it. They thought I was crazy but it was cute, had personality. I agree, approx $15 for a short term usage mug, only at the hotel we are staying in, just doesn't s...

Re: And to make it complete....how about Animal Kingdom?

For some reason AK always seems hotter to me than the other parks...except for Epcot walking world showcase. It also feels concrete. I've never thought about it having fewer attractions, and I certainly never counted, but next time I go I am going to get a map and count...but then there is the issue...

Re: Haunted Mansion

I don't know how to identify the area I like best, but it's when the doombuggy tilts back, like a recliner. It's absurd I know, but for those few seconds I just feel so relaxed...nothing prepares me for the graveyard, tho. All these years later and I still have to keep my eyes closed! Wouldn't it be...

Re: What would you change in the Magic Kingdom?

Well, now that we're getting Double Dumbos, and for reasons I cannot imagine they are re-naming the carousel ...no longer Cinderella's Golden Carousel, now it's Prince Charming's carousel and the back story is that he was bored and needed to practice jousting...this seems so contrived to me, but ok,...

Re: Favorite FREE souvenier

You might be kidding but we were there last year and there was a man filling up his Quick Trip mug with "free soda." I watched and assumed someone might tell him it wasn't ok, but no one did. My problem with the "Free Soda" mugs is that after a few years they take over a whole ca...

I did get a cone with a hole in the bottom once and when I complained the lady said, suck it from the bottom honey.
I was so shocked I kept the cone.

Re: Tom Sawyer Island

I love these forums...I had no idea there was a paint brush contest and reward..the last time I went the caves were very dark and I plowed into a wall and promptly went into panic mode. I used to like getting bread at Aunt Polly's and feeding the ducks...but I gather that would be a thing of the past.

Re: Epcot's Le Cellier May Become Signature

If you want a good steak and are on the dining plan, spend two credits and go to the Yachtsman Steakhouse. The service is gracious, the crowds controlled, the steak, regarless of your choice and you have more than one or two, always just right...and there are some nice wines available if you want th...
