Re: 2011 WDW Marathon Weekend

Thanks, guys. DW and I even ordered one of those expensive shadowboxes to display our medals and bibs - I let her on it even if she did best me by one second.

I DID IT!!!

I finished my first marathon - and under the max time too (well, at least 2 seconds under the max time). Congrats to all the Disney Runners. Anyone up for the Wine and Dine in October?

Re: 2011 WDW Marathon Weekend

My DW and I did the first "Wine and Dine" Half-Marathon in October. She had a birthday during the run, at about mile 8! The run started at 10 pm and the Food and Wine festival stayed open until 3 am for us runners. She got a "Happy Birthday" solo from me (the out-of-breath versio...

Re: Subsonicradio iPhone App

Thanks, BlueLlama! I just got my first iPod because of that special deal at the Apple store - buy a desktop, get an iPod free - and this was the first app I installed. My wife and I have replaced both cell phones and a desktop in the last week, and ALL have a different operating system than I have u...

Re: Google Chrome

I tried Google Chrome and liked it, but, some of my work websites could not use it. It is very fast! It is easy! but I am waiting until more websites support it.

DW and I got married and honeymooned at Carribbean Beach in '98. Because we eloped and didn't have any wedding guests, we planned a 10th anniversary vow renewal at WDW in '08, and invited the family (30 guests!). We renewed our vows at Epcot, in the Italy courtyard. We spent our vow renewal honeymoo...

My DW gave me an XM radio for Christmas about 5 years ago. I'm totally hooked :D . I actually have the "car" kit in the airplane I fly for work. Before XM I had to re-tune FM stations about every 20 minutes because I would have flown beyond the station range. Now, I set it on a channel I l...

You're giving away your age, Spirit! I'm sure you could qualify. I bet you could do it too! Just think how much faster you would be running simply by being excited about running through Disney! I don't mind telling my age :) . I'm 52, and didn't start running until I was 51 (other than High S...

Do you know what pace they had to keep to qualify for the Boston? Boston does it by age. They were both 35 and had to beat 3:45 i...
